Diving Into Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
“Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone. . . .
A convict with a thirst for revenge
A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager
A runaway with a privileged past
A spy known as the Wraith
A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums
A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes
Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first”
If you haven’t read Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, what exactly have you been doing? This phenomenal fantasy novel is the perfect combination of humor and adventure. Without giving too much away, we follow a band of unfortunate misfits who join together for a heist involving one of the most dangerous prisons around.
If you’re a fan of Ocean’s 11, then this book absolutely must be your next read. I will give you a fair warning that the way Leigh Bardugo writes her books is by throwing you right into the action. It can be a bit confusing – but don’t loosen your grip on the book, because it starts to make sense after a couple chapters.
This book quite honestly has everything from romance to heartbreak, friendship to disaster and more. It’s a roller coaster, but after reading this duo-logy I can safely say that it’s one of my favorite books of all time.
Why I Dedicated Silver Fox Drink To Kaz Brekker
Kaz Brekker. There is only so many words one who has read Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo can say about the all mighty Kaz Brekker.
He’s cunning, mischievous, sophisticated, and most of all loving. He loves his friends deeply, though he doesn’t admit it. I felt like this drink resembled his character very well. In addition to that the word “fox” immediately stood out to me because that’s what I imagine Kaz’s spirit animal to be.
Similar to a fox, he’s quick on his feet and always has a second plan in the back of his head.
If this signature drink doesn’t convince you to read the Six Of Crows duology, I don’t know what will.
